Supported Child Development Program

The Supported Child Development Program (SCDP) supports children, who have a developmental delay or disability and may require extra support, to fully participate in inclusive neighborhood childcare programs.

Who is eligible for service?

The emphasis of this program is on early childhood development for children under 6 years of age, as this is recognized as the optimal time for Child Development.

Children, 7 to 12 years of age, are a continued priority, and youth 13 years of age to their 19th birthday will continue to be served on an individual basis.

Parents, caregivers and other professionals can refer to the SCD program. Referrals from caregivers and other professionals must have a signed parental/legal guardian consent.
