Communication Therapy
The speech language pathologist works with families to assess and treat children with communication disabilities including delays or disorders in language (words and sentences), articulation (speech), resonance and stuttering.
Families of children at risk may be eligible for services:
- Assist the child in developing the ability to express needs, establish and maintain social relationships and engage in play with peers.
- Assist the family and other caregivers to learn skills and strategies to support their child’s communication.
Who is eligible for services?
The Communications Therapy Department serves children from birth to school entry who present developmental disabilities and live in Surrey, Delta, White Rock or Langley.
