Equipment Team
The Equipment Team is a specialty team of The Centre consisting of both an Occupational Therapist and Physiotherapist who have developed and maintained a level of expertise in seating, wheelchairs and other specialized equipment.
This team assesses individual children’s needs for specialized equipment and makes purchasing recommendations. Examples of specialized equipment include:
- Wheelchairs
- Strollers
- Power chairs or scooters
- Supportive seating systems
The Team includes the child and family, an occupational therapist, a physical therapist and a rehabilitation equipment supplier.
Eligibility
This team works with children from birth to age 19 who live in Surrey, Delta, White Rock, or Langley and who are clients of The Centre and have mobility concerns.
Referrals
Equipment Team referrals must be made by one of The Centre’s physical or occupational therapists. No outside referrals are being accepted.
