Family Services
Family Service Workers will meet with you to discuss your needs and to help you identify and access resources benefiting you and your family.
The following are some of the services provided by Family Service workers:
- Helping families access emergency services
- Helping families apply for services or funding from government or private sources
- Providing training and support on how to advocate for your child
- Connecting families with appropriate resources in the community
- Assisting families in completing the Centre’s referral process
- Empowering parents to cope with interpersonal and family distress and stigma
- Providing liaison and coordination with professionals and other agencies
Who is eligible for Family Services?
If your child is receiving other services from the Centre or your family has been referred to the Centre you may be eligible for Family Services.
Due to the limited number of Family Service Workers we give priority to families who have the greatest need.
In most cases we will inform you if you are eligible for Family Services.
